It’s official!
Caitlin Clark has become the NCAA Division I college basketball all-time leading scorer, surpassing Pete Maravich’s record. Clark achieved this milestone with a free throw in the closing moments of the second quarter during Iowa’s impressive 93-83 victory over Ohio State on Sunday.
In her remarkable performance, Clark tallied 35 points, nine assists, and six rebounds, contributing significantly to the Hawkeyes’ final regular-season record of 26-4.
Adding to the excitement, Clark revealed earlier in the week her decision to enter the 2024 WNBA Draft, marking Sunday’s game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena as her last regular-season home game as a Hawkeye.
Let’s relive some of the top moments!!!!
Caitlin Clark Recognized on Senior Day
On Sunday, Iowa’s postgame Senior Day celebration paid tribute to Caitlin Clark, who holds the record as the highest scorer in Division I basketball history for both men and women.
Accompanied by her parents and two brothers, the Hawkeyes’ standout received honors as the team’s superstar.
As she exited the court, Clark was queried about her proudest moment, to which she responded:
“This is special. I don’t know if you guys realize what you’re doing for women’s basketball and women’s sports in general, but you’re changing it.”
Let’s applaud Molly for her resilience
A poignant moment unfolded at Carver-Hawkeye Arena after the game as Molly Davis received recognition during the Senior Day festivities.
Midway through the second quarter on Sunday, Davis suffered a leg injury and had to be carried off the court. Despite this setback, she later returned to the sideline with her leg heavily bandaged and seated in a wheelchair.
Accompanied by her father, who attended her final regular-season home game, along with her mother and brother, Davis was honored as she was wheeled onto the court.
Davis spoke to the audience,saying:
You don’t always have to be the biggest, the smartest, the tallest, the strongest to play at this level, and hopefully, I’ve showed little girls out there that you can play at this level.

Kate Martin sends shockwaves through the audience.
With the atmosphere already electric at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, Kate Martin’s impactful performance in the latter part of the third quarter seemed to intensify the noise level even further.
At a point where Iowa held a comfortable 14-point lead, Martin’s pivotal steal, followed by an assist to Caitlin Clark and her subsequent successful 3-pointer, not only extended the Hawkeyes’ lead to 71-54 but also electrified the crowd to the point where it felt like the roof might come off.

Caitlin Clark surpassed Pete Maravich for the NCAA Division I scoring record towards the end of the first half, yet her momentum didn’t wane for a moment.
